How EU Tariffs will boost Law Firms’ work
Why Law firm clients are worried.

The EU has fired back in the latest trade war with the U.S., announcing €26 billion worth of tariffs on American imports. This comes in direct retaliation to the 25% tariffs on steel and aluminum imposed by the U.S..
The tariffs will be rolled out in two stages:
- 1 April – The EU reinstates tariffs that were originally imposed in 2018 but later suspended under Biden. This affects motorbikes, bourbon, and other key U.S. exports.
- 13 April – The EU will impose an additional €18 billion in tariffs, hitting a broader range of U.S. goods.
With trade tensions escalating, companies on both sides of the Atlantic now face disrupted supply chains, higher costs, and urgent legal questions creating a wave of new work for law firms.
