Double the Buyback

In Short: International Public Partnerships (INPP) is doubling down on its ongoing share buyback scheme, jumping from £30 million to £60 million after making some lucrative asset sales.

What is the deal?

INPP, the infrastructure investment company with a spot on the FTSE 250, is going all in on its share repurchase program. What started as a modest £30 million buyback back in January has now ballooned to £60 million, thanks to some nifty asset sales, including a cool £14 million from selling its 50% stake in Three Shires, a UK healthcare project.

Why the splurge? Well, INPP realized that its shares are trading below their net asset value (NAV), which is kind of like selling designer shoes for the price of flip-flops. So, the company figured a buyback would be the perfect way to boost its stock performance and reassure investors that they’re still getting the good stuff.
